Logistics Handler

Job Summary:

The main responsibility of this position is to safely and efficiently load and unload freight, while also sorting it according to the purchase order (PO) and SKU. The individual will use a radio frequency (RF) gun to locate and select merchandise for shipment to stores, scan boxes, open cases, and place them on the correct conveyor for sorting. They will also pack single and multiple customer orders and put the correct shipping labels onto packages before placing them on the right conveyor for shipment. Furthermore, they will induct apparel and footwear onto the tilt trays and pack products sorted by the tilt trays for shipment to stores. The applicants must be at least 18 years old and the pay rate is $14.94 per hour. Full-time hours are available, with the first shift being from Monday to Friday, covering the morning to afternoon hours, and the second shift being from Sunday to Thursday, covering afternoon to evening hours. Additionally, weekend shifts require 12-hour shifts on Saturday and Sunday. Responsibilities:

• Timely and accurate execution of merchandise packaging is an essential factor in managing incoming orders to fulfill the requirements of customers and stores.
• Shift the products for processing, pack them and put them in boxes then move them for transport.

• Accurate handling of Return To Vendor, returned and liquidation items requires the strict following of procedures.
• Mastery in swift working conditions and managing swiftly changing scenarios.
• The necessary skills in reading comprehension, written communication, business mathematics, and data analysis are required.
• Notifies the supervisor, manager, safety director or HR manager of any issues that need their intervention.
• Embraces the established protocols and procedures presented during the onboarding process and periodic trainings.

Qualifications:

• The position calls for particular sight prerequisites, comprising clear vision at both small and large distances, the aptitude to differentiate colors with clearness, the ability to perceive one's surroundings, appraise distances by way of depth perception and employ visual acuity to adjust focus as needed.
• If objects exceeding 40 pounds require handling, assistance when needed will be available.
• Competence in conveying items up to 40 pounds with possible assistance, covering a minimum distance of 25 feet.
• The physical demands of working in different locations may require associates to make temporary adjustments based on business necessity.
