Responsibilities:

• Drivers of tractor-trailers play a critical role in maintaining road safety for all road users.
• Check vehicles rigorously before and after journeys to ensure they are safe for the road.
• Formulate a strategic plan for organizing delivery routes that aims to optimize productivity and achieve timely deliveries.
• Guarantee the secure and safe delivery of shipments through compliance with the specified regulations for handling and packaging.
• Consistently communicate clearly and efficiently with dispatchers and customers throughout every stage of the delivery procedure.
• Keep track of both the time spent on work activities and the regular maintenance tasks needed for your car.
• Abide by safety guidelines and rules enforced by the Department of Transportation to guarantee the safety of both workers and cargo during transportation.
• Promptly inform relevant parties about any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or violations to maintain adherence to regulations.

Qualifications:

• Possess an original Class A CDL license.
• Clean driving record.
• Meeting the specifications of a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and screening for substance abuse.
• Ability to manage time effectively and synchronize tasks efficiently.
• Experienced in the proficient and safe conveyance of cumbersome goods.
• Experienced in offering exemplary customer support, adept at building long-lasting relationships with clientele.
• Promote safety and regulatory compliance by promptly notifying authorities of any problems or breaches concerning vehicles.

Preferred Experience:

• Dry vans, also known as box trailers, are enclosed trailers used to transport goods that do not need refrigeration. Refrigerated trailers, or reefers, are equipped with cooling systems to keep perishable goods at controlled temperatures during transport. Flatbed trailers feature an open design without sides or a roof, commonly used for moving large or oddly shaped items. Tanker trailers are designed for transporting liquids or gases, with different models tailored to the specific material being carried
• The transportation of goods and vehicles can be facilitated using specialized methods like Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, and Auto Hauler
• The category of household goods includes products commonly encountered in homes
