Job Summary:

At Costco's bakery department, maintaining cleanliness and safety is vital, and this is made possible through rigorous sanitation procedures. Employees in the department handle, package, and maintain hygiene while devising their bakery operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Maintaining a clean and uncontaminated bakery section requires adhering to strict cleaning and sanitizing protocols for every equipment and surface exposed to food products.
• Before and after handling bakery packaging, make sure you maintain proper hand hygiene by washing your hands adequately with soap and water.
• Assurance of the absence of defects or pollutants in the wrappers before utilization is necessary and thus, carry out a quality check.
• To reduce contact and maintain sanitation, use gloves and utensils when packing bakery items in wrappers.
• It is essential to present and safeguard baked goods in a tidy and hygienic environment to maintain their quality and taste.
• Regular inspections are necessary to confirm compliance with sanitation requirements and regulations.
• Decorates, measures, encloses, tags and promotes bakery merchandise.
• Ensures there is always an adequate supply of materials by restocking as needed.
• The process of cleaning and disinfecting bakery facilities, machinery, and tools is crucial.
