Bakery Attendant

Job Summary:

Consistently following strict sanitation procedures is fundamental to the bakery department's operations at Costco. Staff not only packages and takes care of bakery goods, but they also maintain a sanitized workspace to ensure health and safety.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• In a bid to eliminate cross-contamination, the bakery department must sanitize and clean all surfaces and equipment using rigorous protocols.
• Keeping bakery wrappers clean and safe requires you to maintain proper hand hygiene by washing your hands with soap and water before and after handling them.
• Assurance of the absence of defects or pollutants in the wrappers before utilization is necessary and thus, carry out a quality check.
• Proper hygiene is critical when wrapping bakery items. Use gloves and utensils to minimize contact and package baked goods while maintaining cleanliness.
• The key to extending the shelf-life of bakery items is to store and exhibit them in a clean and hygienic way.
• Regular verification is required to maintain compliance with sanitation regulations and standards.
• Displays, quantifies, encloses, marks, and sells baked items.
• Reinstalls necessary supplies and ingredients to keep the workflow moving smoothly.
• The upkeep of cleanliness and sanitation in bakery locations, equipment, and utensils is fundamental.
