Packaging Associate

Job Summary:

Your primarily responsible for accurately loading and unloading freight safely and efficiently; sorting according to purchase order (PO) and SKU; uses a radio frequency (RF) gun to locate and select merchandise for shipment to stores; scanning boxes, opening cases, and then placing them on the correct conveyor for sorting; packing single and multiple customer orders; placing correct shipping labels onto packages and placing on correct conveyor for shipment; inducts apparel and footwear onto the tilt trays and packs product sorted by the tilt trays for shipment to stores. Must be 18 years or older to apply. Responsibilities:

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of how to properly utilize an RF scanning tool.
• In order to meet the demands of customers and stores, it is necessary to have efficient and accurate packaging processes for the orders.
• Move the merchandise for processing and pack it, then transfer the products for delivery.
• Strict Compliance with Company and OSHA Safety Standards.
• The proper handling of Return To Vendor, returned and liquidation items involves following specific procedures.
• Proficiency to handle work in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to engage in the tasks of reading, writing, performing quantitative calculations as needed for conducting business, and evaluating data.
• Notifies the relevant parties which may include the supervisor, manager, safety director or HR manager of any problems.
• Follows the prescribed procedures and protocols as evidenced during the initial and periodic training periods.

• The candidate must possess specific visual abilities, including precise near and far-sightedness, accurate color detection, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the capability to adjust focus according to requirements.
• If objects exceeding 40 pounds require handling, assistance when needed will be available.
• The skills to transport loads weighing 40 pounds or less with aid as needed over a distance of at least 25 feet.
• Temporary work assignments in other locations may compel associates to accommodate to different physical demands as required by business needs.
