Responsibilities:

• Ensuring road safety is crucial for every individual operating tractor-trailers.
• Check vehicles meticulously before and after trips to ascertain their road readiness.
• Devise a systematic strategy for planning delivery routes that focuses on improving efficiency and ensuring deliveries are completed promptly.
• Guarantee the safe and secure transportation of shipments by following the specified regulations for handling and packaging.
• Foster transparent and efficient communication with both dispatchers and customers at each juncture of the delivery operation.
• Keep careful documentation of both the time spent working and the routine maintenance of your vehicle.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations set by the Department of Transportation to safeguard both workers and cargo during transportation.
• Report promptly any vehicle issues, accidents, or violations to ensure compliance with regulations is maintained.

Qualifications:

• Have a certified Class A commercial driver's license.
• Clean driving record.
• Observing the guidelines for a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical assessment and substance misuse detection.
• Expertise in coordinating tasks and organizing time proficiently.
• Expertise in the efficient and safe transportation of heavy and cumbersome items.
• Proficient in delivering exceptional customer assistance, skilled in forging strong rapport with clients.
• Report promptly to the authorities any issues or violations concerning vehicles to ensure safety and regulatory adherence.

Flatbed trailers have an open body with no sides or roof, commonly used for transporting oversized or oddly shaped cargo. Tanker trailers are specialized for transporting liquids or gases, with various designs based on the specific substance being transported
• Doubles/Triples, Intermodal, and Auto Hauler are various transportation modes used for the transfer of goods and automobiles
• Household goods refer to a variety of items that are often found in residential settings
